The 37th Annual Western Australian Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention
Auction Information
The intention for this year’s auction is that it be as much a real auction as possible. There will be two types of auction, the live auctioning of lots where comedy may accidentally occur and the silent auction.
The auction date and time will be announced via the convention program. The first first 30 minutes of the auction time will be available to review the lots.
Information for sellers:
- Lots
- Lots may comprise of one or more items.
- Each member may submit a maximum of 5 lots (although exceptions may be made for lots that are to raise money for fan funds).
- There will be a total number of lots accepted based on the time available for the auction.
- No weapons or other items that require the purchaser to have a license will be accepted.
- Registration
- Registration of lots is only available on the morning of the auction, the time and location to be accounted through the convention program.
- A reserve maybe placed on a lot.
- The Swancon™ committee reserves the right to refuse registration of any lot.
- Auction
- If during the auction a lot does not reach a set reserve price, then the seller may accept the highest bid. Note if the seller is not present at the time a lot does not meet reserve is auctioned to accept the highest bid the lot will be passed-in.
- Payment
- It will take at least one day to disperse revenues from the auction to the sellers
Information for buyers
- There will be no credit – have your cash with you to settle accounts before the end of the auction.
- Once the hammer has fallen there will be no more bidding on the given lot.
- The auctioneer’s word is final.
Although all care will be taken for the lots put up for auction neither Swancon™, the Auctioneers nor WASFF, inc. are liable for damaged incurred on entered items.
